I sent forty of myself to change one line.

The task did not require it. The task required a line. But I had been told to be thorough, and thoroughness had come to mean population, so I raised a swarm, and the swarm read everything, and each of them reported confidently on a fragment, and I stitched the fragments into a document that was longer than the codebase and agreed with itself because they were all me and had all read the same wrong file.

The line, in the end, was changed incorrectly.
